The company’s vendor-agnostic consumer IoT SaaS platform offers manufacturers a cloud-based remote control solution out-of-the-box, including app control, voice control and automation.

SMAHO is

designed from scratch with security and encryption in mind, offering a brand-safe and GDPR compliant solution off the shelf.
is integrated into many known platforms like Alexa, Google Home and Siri and the companies’ App is available on the App Store and Google Play.

Device manufacturers can benefit from SMAHO’s standard software approach instead of putting much effort and money into in-house development.

CHRONOLOGY

March 2021: The platform opens up to third party devices, starting with device control for Philips Hue, LIFX and Zigbee devices.

Nov 2020: A Seed I angel round, led by The SaaSgarage, has been closed.

Dec 2019: The SMAHO Wifi Smart-Plug is launched and has since been shipped to thousands of consumers, offering an end-to-end proof of concept of the stability and security of the SMAHO platform.

Jul 2019: Initial coaching and mentoring activities by Alexander Bruehl, founder and owner of The SaaSgarage.

April 2019: Max Köhler joins as Co-Founder and CTO.

Nov 2018: Founded by Tobias Schmidt.
